Barber Shop Photos 19 – Jaresh, Jordan

In 2009 I travelled to Dubai, Egypt and Jordan. I love the landscapes in this part of the world and there is something magical about wandering through the ruins of ancient cities. Jaresh was unexpected for me as I was really looking towards Petra as the iconic travel experience in Jordan. It turned out that Jaresh and a few other cultural and religious sites had a marked effect on me as well.

The colour and the lines of pillars are the elements I wanted to capture in these shots. They remind me of wandering through the forum, exploring the amphitheater, and marvelling at Hadrian’s Gate.
